Our Sponsor, God, would like to say a few things before we continue studying about His Son through the writing of Luke.

My children, I know the way sometimes grows very rough for you. It is during these times, that your choice of foundation becomes so very clear. . . There are so many words of strength and encouragement found throughout My Word, if you will just find them, believe them, and trust them, for they reflect My character and My heart toward you. Let Me give you a few examples today--perhaps you need them now, or you know someone who needs them; perhaps you'll need them later, but I want you to have them nearby.

When you are in a battle or need courage~

Joshua 1.9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Ephesians 6.10 - Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

from 2 Chronicles 20 - We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you. . . This is what the Lord says to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.

Isaiah 43.2 - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Ephesians 3.20 - Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory

When you need peace~

John 14.27 - Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives give I to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.

Philippians 4.6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11.29 - Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Psalm 34.4 - I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.

When you need to know My heart toward you~

Zephaniah 3.17 - The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Psalm 91.4, 11 - He will cover you with His feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they

will lift you up in their hands.

Psalm 121.1-4 - I lift my eyes up to the hills--where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your food slip--He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

Hebrews 13.5 - Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.

Psalm 100.5 - For the Lord is good, and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

So you see these words of Mine offer much. . . let them be for comfort and for peace, let them bring you hope for your spirit, and salve for your wounds~as My people used to say, "Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." While the grass withers, My Word will never fade away. I love you, child; you are not orphans in this world, for I am with you. You will never be fatherless if you put your trust in Me. I will not abandon you, and there is no shadow of turning with Me. I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, taste and see, for I am good.
