We interrupt this program for this important announcement. . . . . .

Good Morning.
beep duh duh beep-- beep duh duh beep-- do you remember how the 6 o'clock news programs used to start?
There was this familiar important sounding intro as hard news was delivered into family rooms across
America. . . Well, I would like to impart something I just experienced that I believe is breaking across
America as well. .
America as well. . .
This past Saturday I flew to Orlando, Florida to attend the International Christian Retailers' Show;
I went in hopes of 'connecting' with a publisher for my books and Bible studies. It was an amazing
experience, but not just because I did indeed 'connect' but because of something further reaching.
First up on Sunday morning was my hero, Anne Graham Lotz--yes, daughter of Billy--whose message
moved me greatly. She said that all across the world, probably beginning with 9/11, alarms have been
going off--Katrina, the tsunami, the fires, the China earthquake--and when alarms go off, people need
to wake up! God's people should be looking up and saying, 'God, how would you have me respond?'
On a personal level, when an alarm goes off in my life, do I look up and say 'God?
Let me segue for a moment. . . a new friend on the east coast named Michael told me about something
huge taking place in Lakeland, Florida, that has moved him greatly. It seems that almost four months
ago now, a spiritual uprising, if you will, began and since then, not a day has been missed of people coming
from all around, and now all around the world, to be touched by God. Pastors are traveling there to 'get
some' to take home. . . desperate people are going to be healed. Well, on Monday night, I had the
opportunity to go there and partake. The "Outpouring", as it is called, is held in a tent, (a really big
tent!) out in the boonies. The worship time of singing and praising God was incredible--and here is
why--people were hungry for God. Segue back to Anne Graham Lotz--people have experienced 'the
alarms' and they are looking to God for answers, for direction.
The show I attended was truly international; I made some new friends from the Netherlands and
from South Africa; again, I want to tell you--God is up to something. I reconnected with a friend
who makes his home now in Nashville, (Rob Murray), which is the seat of most things inspirational,
particularly Christian music, who told me about things going on in his arena--same thing--reports
of people just hungry for God. . . hungry for God to come and heal our land, for the presence of
God.
In my usual way, I enjoyed talking to the manager of Tommy Bahama's near the convention center,
(who reads this now--'hi, Carl!'), and a flight attendant on the stormy plane flight home, and the
spiritual conversations were great.
Yeah. . .yeah. . . what's the point? I want to fill you with a sense of anticipation, I want you to
'catch' the growing hunger for God. Here's God's response to you, to me:
"You will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29.12-13
At the same time, I know of at least one set of eyes reading this, who wonders if the whole
'God thing' is even real. . . so to you, my friend, I say, 'try Him... go ahead, and say to God,
'I don't even know if you are there, but if you are, show yourself to me.' Do you have guts
enough to take that challenge? I dare you. No, I implore you.
Don't get left behind.
Back to wisdom on Monday, but I just pray you catch the vision of what God is doing and wanting
to do worldwide.
Grace to you today,
Christine
