A word from the witnesses Luke

Good Morning. He was a radical, but not the 60s kind. . . He was unpredictable--except for how He loved. . . He looked like an ordinary man, and yet He was an extraordinary God. . . and as for me, the further we get into Luke's gospel, the more I read about Him, and learn about His ways, the closer I feel to Him. . . and so I asked you to hit 'reply' and answer the question: What difference does Jesus make to you? Here is what some of you had to say~

LIFE OR DEATH....

On this earth I couldn't have made it without Jesus carrying me and the same will be true for heaven!

from a believer in Japan - Jesus makes my life complete. I am so glad that he goes with me and before me. Every move I make I get to see his plan unfold. I am crazy for him!

He brings truth to my life. He brings eternal salvation.

He brings spiritual values and morals (His law). He brings comfort.

He brings courage and boldness to witness.

He brings Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge when we ask for it.

He makes all the difference. Without him, my life would have no meaning and no hope. I would not be living I would only be existing.

Jesus is my big brother. He's always looking out for me. Jesus has my back. When someone makes me feel worthless, Jesus reminds me that He values me. He values my passion. He values my kindness. He values my friendliness. He values my individuality. When I'm feeling weary Jesus tells me to unload my burdens on Him. He'll carry them. I can lean on my big brother. Come Sis. Have a seat and tell me all about your day. I care. I'm here for you. When I'm feeling insulted or rejected, Jesus wipes my tears. He promises never to forsake me. He's always going to open His arms for a hug. Jesus reminds me that I must forgive those that hurt me.

Without Jesus I'm inadequate. I'm empty. I'm barren. Jesus makes the difference between a good Nancy and a great Nancy. He's the basic ingredients plus the icing! Jesus is the difference between existing and living. He's my best friend.

It means to me that I know I have a bigger responsibility than most for doing the right thing. I feel more responsibility to my family, they need to know and believe in the lord, my responsibility. I feel more responsible to my friends - I need to be an example (where I fall down the most it seems) or at least they need to know I am a Christian.

I know that when tough times come, or will come, I need to trust in him that he has the plan. I have really started to also think about the fact that I will be standing in front of him someday and will be accountable. Hmmnnn, “I was going to read your book, but just never got the time… sorry about that one God…..” Responsibility….

from a believer in the Philippines:

He washed me clean and gave meaning to my life.

He gave me joy.....in almost all circumstances (it would be in all if I were not so stiff-necked).

He took away the anguish and the pressure....now all I have to do is follow HIS will and I know things will work out.....though not always like I expect...I have learned to trust that HIS will is MUCH better than mine.

And I have learned that I am never alone, nor ever will be...for HE is always with me...even unto the ends of the earth...

He took the fear out of living....for the center of HIS will is the safest place to be.

And I have learned that in HIS faithfulness I can count on HIM to care for my family in ways I never could.

There is nothing that I can do to separate me from HIS love....for HE loved me first. He knows every hair on my head and loves me anyway.... He is my confidant and my best friend!!!

okay, so he's a laborer in Christ's vineyard. . . a missionary to the Philippines. Thank you, Patrick

What difference does Jesus make to me?

He gives me comfort. He reminds me that the Father is nearby; that He'll never give me more than I can handle. I only need to ask, and I will not feel alone. He gives me comfort.

IF Obama becomes President I expect to see even more pressure on Christians. Will we be modern day martyrs. I will stand up for Jesus.

What difference does Jesus make to me? He is my reason for living ~ otherwise, you wouldn't be reading this! What is He to you? Sooner or later, you must decide.

Grace and Peace to you, Christine
