Make an introduction … to Jesus.  John 9.25

Have you ever stopped to think about how many people you know, how many people you encounter in the course of your comings and goings, who want to find meaning and purpose for their lives?  (Read that sentence again.)  Friend, people are dying for the peace, hope and meaning we find in Jesus Christ.

When Jesus ascended into Heaven, he charged his followers to be his witnesses-- to ‘go into all the world and make disciples’—and I am just asking, are you and I doing at least as well as the blind man?  I mean, all he really did is say, ‘this one thing I know—I was blind, and now I see.’  He simply told the truth about what he experienced.

At lunch the other day I had the privilege of introducing a new colleague to a close Christian friend of several years now.  It was really great to see the two of them hit on common professional interests and most especially, to listen to them speak of their desire for more of God in their lives.  It made me think of the times I have introduced someone to Jesus … when I have seen his interest pique, sometimes with emotion in his throat and tears in his eyes … as he said ‘yes’ to Jesus.  ‘Yes, I believe in you.’  ‘Yes, I want to know you.’  ‘Yes, I want to follow you—understand who you are and grow in my faith.’  ‘Yes, yes, yes!’   Have you had the privilege of introducing someone you know, or someone you have met, to Jesus?

I have.  Truthfully, being the conduit between Jesus Christ and another person creates a feeling of exhilaration that is really unmatched in anything else we will ever do!  Truly, it is unmatched.  It has not just earthly significance but more importantly, eternal spiritual significance.  It is pure joy!

The blind man shared Jesus by telling what he had experienced.  The woman at the well shared Jesus with others by inviting them to come and meet him.  Others share Jesus by serving, so as to then be able to speak about why and who it is that they serve.  Others share Jesus through gifts of teaching and encouragement … the fact that you are reading or listening to this means that you know that I endeavor to serve Jesus through the gifts he has bestowed on me.

The Lord Jesus has seen fit to give me a platform—an international one—114 countries strong now, in these Morning Briefings, disseminated through various forms and formats via the internet.  Isn’t that amazing?

Six weeks ago, I prayed and asked him, ‘Jesus, what next?  What next would you have me do?’  In short order, I felt it pressed upon my heart that God would have me publish, in book form, these daily studies, so that they may be accessed by many more people.  (Believe it or not, there are many who still prefer a paper and ink delivery rather than one that comes through an e-mail or click of the computer!)   In obedience, I have signed a contract to self-publish these Morning Briefings, which will cost just about $2,000.  Because I have been asked by several how they could get involved—and in obedience—I am telling you of that commitment.  Should you like to share in the publishing of a 365-day devotional book of ‘briefings’ from the Word of God, you could send your tax-deductible check to PastorWoman Corp., P.O. Box 1195, San Clemente, CA  92674.  Or go to PayPal on the website: www.pastorwoman.com.

There … I am telling you right now that my experience of Jesus Christ has led me to this great commitment to share him with other people … how about you?  How will you share what Jesus means to you—will you look into the eyes of a hurting stranger and extend love?  Will you take a risk and invite someone to church with you?  Whatever it takes … introduce someone to Jesus.
