Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I relocated with my family to Southern California in August 2000. I am married to my sweetheart, Dean, who is an area manager for a medical device company. My children span the ages of 15 through 31....Matthew, 31, Amy, 28, married to Eric, Dylan 18, and Danny, 15 years of age… I have two grandsons - Jacob 8 years old, and Bennett, just five months. We love living in San Clemente, our surf town about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego.

Serving as the Director of Women’s Ministries and on the pastoral staff at a non-denominational church in San Clemente for six years, it was my heart’s desire to see women come to know and “live out” their God-given purposes. Working in this capacity was a thrilling experience, and I was often able to draw from my past work experience as a credentialed elementary and high school teacher.

Besides working and raising my children, I have been leading and writing Bible studies for about 16 years. In the summer of 2008, I felt God call me out of the church and into the business world where I became the corporate pastor to an international company, also based in Southern California. In that capacity, I began writing “Morning Briefings,” daily Bible study/commentaries sent via e-mail five days a week, and “discipling” the leaders of the company. All the while, God was whispering “GLOBAL” to me, so through the wonder of today’s technology and the blessing of the Holy Spirit, he has taken these daily writings and expanded his Word throughout the world, now reaching 124 countries.

All of my previous experience, education and training serve me well in my writing capacity, as it is my passionate desire to see people’s lives changed through the relevance of the Gospel. Accordingly, the course of my days is determined by an intense and extensive study of the Scripture as well as an array of Biblical scholars, all the while seeking to be led by the Holy Spirit--as I teach through the Scripture, book by book. I juxtapose this immersion with a day-to-day study of what is occurring in our world, in Christendom and in popular culture.

On a personal note, I love the beach, tending my roses, cheering on my boys as they compete in athletics, playing with my grandsons, drinking Italian Roast coffee, and working out.
